Automotive Body Repairers

Automotive Body Repairers

When you built your car for the soap-box derby, was your favourite part working on the body, making sure there were no dents, and that the paint job was perfect? Did you polish and buff that baby till it sparkled? If so, you'd probably enjoy a career as a motor vehicle body repairer.

These workers repair and replace front-end components, body components, doors, frame, and underbody components of motor vehicles. Even the most minor "fender-bender" accident can damage a car, and the salt used on our icy winter roads causes a good deal of rust–so there's no shortage of work. This group includes "metal repairers" who work in car assembly plants to repair damage on new car bodies. There's no place in a new-car showroom for scrapes and dents!
